​ROGATE is a nationally based gifted and talented program for middle school and high school students.  It applies to all subject areas and aims to develop critical thinking skills and academic interest.

The criteria for a students acceptance includes an "A" average, recommendations from at least three teachers. In addition to this, ROGATE seeks out students who demonstrated the qualities of active participation, involvement and citizenship in the classroom, leadership, as well as positive, eager and respectful behavior.

The expectations of ROGATE students are as follows; excels academically, in all subject areas, organized and responsible and comes prepared, completes assignments on time, highly motivated and accountable, shows maturity and behaves appropriately, possesses the desire and motivation to learn, demonstrates leadership qualities and uses challenges as a motivator. 

A ROGATE member must participate in ONE of the following:
SAT Prep and SAT Exam (November to January)
    Additional fee required
Academic Interest (year long, based on EIRC)
    Students attend college lectures
Academically Speaking (begins in December and continues until competition)
    Team selected to compete in March/April


Special field trips during the year.  Attendance policy is implemented.

Students MUST provide their own transportation home.
